Home for Thanksgiving!

Oh, how the time flies. I feel like August was 10 minutes ago and suddenly Thanksgiving has already come and gone! Soon enough it'll be Christmas time ( 76 days to be exact), sorry not sorry.

Fall is my favourite season and I'm so glad it's here. Fall comes along with pumpkin flavoured everything, Halloween, and endless fun activities.

Growing up, we never went to any pumpkin patches so for the past few years I have been basking in the glory of corn mazes, pumpkin picking, and candy apples. I'd say it's like being a kid again, but who are we kidding? There's always a little bit of kid in us.

After a busy month and a half with work and school, it was really wonderful to spend time with the family. My sister (and personal photographer) and I watched way too much Netflix and baked pumpkin cookies with our Grandpa to kick off the weekend.

I am so grateful to have him around to make me laugh and to help me bake.

On Sunday, I forced two of my brothers & my sister-in-laws to come to a pumpkin patch with me. But not before I got a caramel apple for breakfast! The pumpkin patch was a little underwhelming seeing as most of the activities are aimed at pre-schoolers, but the farm animals were pretty darn cute!

That evening we celebrated Thanksgiving Dinner with the whole family! We played games, ate good food, and as usual took secret snap chats of each other. It was great to have a break from school and to just relax and laugh with the family.

OH, and I got to see my nephew, which you know, was alright. He gets bigger and bigger everyday, it is insane how fast little ones grow up.

All in all my weekend was definitely something to be thankful for. This is a reminder for everyone reading to count your blessings, and not just on Thanksgiving. It's a cool practice to do every night, or once a week. Remind yourself about the positive things going on in your life and what you have to be grateful for. It certainly isn't enough to do it just once a year.
