This New Year's Eve, Kelowna Concierge and Start Fresh Kitchen teamed up to host a New Years Eve celebration that focused on “socially conscious businesses, food, and musicians”. This was definitely the best New Year's Eve I have ever experienced.

Guests were greeted with live music and sparkling wine as they made their way to the 17th floor of the Landmark 6 building for a night to remember.
The 17th floor offered a clear view of the fireworks from Stuart Park and local business Flash and Frame ran a photo booth that remained busy throughout the evening. The Flash and Frame girls were SO kind and I would definitely recommend them for your next event! They actually text you the image, as well as give you a hard copy. It makes sharing your photos simple and fast.

Guests enjoyed cuisine from Start Fresh Kitchen, a local business that offers catering and cooking classes. Start Fresh Kitchen has a mission to build community in the Okanagan by supporting vulnerable community members.

The night’s main attraction was two-time JUNO award winning musician, Dan Mangan. Dan Mangan braved the Coquihala to perform at this event and entertained guests with new and old songs. Mangan impressed the audience with his music, stories, and down-to-earth personality. He ended his set by joining the audience in a campfire-like performance of a fan favourite song called “Robots”. This was my third time seeing Dan Mangan, and he never fails to put on an amazing show.

After the concert, a live DJ performed and the guests hit the dance floor before the celebratory midnight toast.

Kelowna Concierge and Start Fresh Kitchen celebrated the coming of 2018 with a focus on good company, delicious food, and the strong community that we call home. Definitely keep an eye out for these two businesses in 2018; they'll be moving mountains!
